A student's rating is based on a combination of the following:

Reading Running record testing, guided reading progress, student demonstration of comprehension through classwork, knowledge of letters, sounds and sight words.
Writing Performance tasks, writer's journal, one on one teacher writing conferences, homework, handwriting.
Math Unit assessments, classwork and homework tasks, achievement on performance tasks.
Science & SS Classwork, participation and discussion.
